Privacy SupplementGeneral Privacy Policy
The Design System collects nothing beyond what the general Privacy Policy already covers. It has no accounts, no contact form and no submissions. The ordinary technical information created when a page or an asset is requested is logged, and any input to a demonstration component on the site is processed only to render that demonstration, and is not retained.

What the Service Publishes
The Design System documents the visual identity, the design tokens, the typography and the front-end conventions used across the digital services of the State. It also catalogues the sovereign symbols of the State, for reference.
A symbol appears on this site so that it may be recognised. Its appearance here is not a licence to use it, and technical access to a file is not permission to reproduce it.
Licensing of Assets
Every asset published here falls into one of three classes.
Open. Design tokens, component markup, layout conventions and ordinary illustration, which carry no sovereign meaning, may be re-used freely under the general permission in the Crown Copyright and Re-use Policy.
Conditional. Official iconography, the commissioned typefaces and certain distinctive component patterns may be re-used only in work that is consistent with the visual identity of the State, and that does not suggest affiliation, endorsement or official status where none exists.
Restricted. The sovereign symbols of the State may not be reproduced, displayed, adapted or otherwise used without the express written permission of the Royal Chancellery, granted under the authority of the Sovereign. This class includes the Arms of Kaharagia, royal monograms and ciphers, the flags of the State and of the Royal House, the Great Seal and other seals of State, the badges of the Orders, and the decorations and medals, together with any stylised, partial or composite reproduction of any of them.
Misuse of Sovereign Symbols
The unauthorised use, reproduction, distortion or public display of a sovereign symbol is a serious offence under the Criminal Code, and the unauthorised reproduction of the Great Seal or another instrument of authentication is a grave offence. The statutory defence for good-faith commentary, education, journalism or satire is preserved.
Confusion as to Source
The visual identity of the State, taken as a whole, is protected. No asset may be used in a way likely to cause confusion as to source, affiliation or endorsement, nor in a way inconsistent with the dignity of the State.
Permission
Applications to use a restricted asset, and questions about the class into which an asset falls, should be addressed to the Royal Chancellery.
